About these terms

These terms apply when you use Gold Coast Schools (the “site”), run by Gold Coast Schools (“we”, “us”). Contact: [contact email]. By using the site or buying access, you agree to them.

Free and paid access

• A free account and the free pages show an overview of each school with sample figures.
• Full access is a yearly plan: A$9.99 a year (Australian dollars, including GST if applicable), renews automatically, cancel anytime. It unlocks the paid content (full fee tables, the cost calculator, school-reported results and the full comparison) for your personal, non-commercial use.
• Automatic renewal: your plan renews every year on the date you started it, and Stripe charges the card you used at the price shown on the site at the time, until you cancel. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it; if it still can’t be collected after a short grace period, access is paused until payment is made.
• Cancelling: you can cancel anytime in My account (Plan, then Cancel plan). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep full access until the end of the year you have already paid for, and you can resume before then. Cancelling doesn’t refund the current year except as set out in the refund policy below.
• Earlier one-off purchases: if you bought one-off access before yearly plans started, it lasts 365 days from your purchase and doesn’t renew. When it ends, you can start the yearly plan.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Keep your password private; access is for one person.

Accuracy of information

Fees come from schools’ own published fee schedules, and results are school-reported (schools calculate and publish them in different ways). School facts such as enrolments and ICSEA come from ACARA (My School). We take care to collect and present this accurately, but we do not guarantee it is complete, current or error-free, and fees change. Results are not a ranking or endorsement. Always check fees and other details with the school before making decisions.

Not affiliated

The site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any school, ACARA, My School or any government body. School names are used only to identify the schools.

Refund policy

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the paid content has a major failure (for example, it is not as described or you cannot access it and we can’t fix the problem in a reasonable time), you are entitled to a refund. To ask for a refund, email [contact email] with the email you used to pay. Approved refunds are made to your original payment method through Stripe, and full access ends when the refund is processed (for a yearly plan, the plan is also cancelled). We may also give refunds in other cases at our discretion. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Acceptable use

Don’t copy, scrape, resell or republish the paid content, share your login, or try to get around the paywall or security. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Parents’ reviews

Logged-in members can post a review of a school (“Parents’ say”). Reviews are about the whole school and must be your own honest experience. Don’t name or describe individual teachers, staff, coaches or students, or individual incidents, and don’t post anything defamatory, abusive or private. We check every review before it appears and may edit for length, refuse or remove any review at our discretion. Reviews are visible only to logged-in members and show the name you choose, your relationship to the school and the date. You keep ownership of your review and give us a licence to show it on the site. To ask for your review to be removed, email us.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law (and subject to the Australian Consumer Law), we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information on the site, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and you submit to the courts of South Australia.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do.
